| How to Cover a lot with a Small
System
It doesn't take a huge alarm system to adequately protect the
average home. Here is a sample of how to get the most
protection utilizing our smallest system, which consist of two
door/window contacts, one motion detector and the main control.
The back or side door to a garage is important because that's
where burglars often go to get the tools to help them get into the
main house.
The main entry door, located either from the garage or at the
front allows for time to turn the alarm off before it activates,
as it is on a delay zone.
A corner mounted motion detector can cover an area of forty by
forty feet or so and can protect many windows and doors at one
time.
Even though not every window has a window contact, an intruder
would still come across the infra beams sooner or later. Of
course it wouldn't hurt to have extra contacts for the windows but
that would better be determined by the likelihood of an intruder
using the side windows as an access point.
Protecting the front garage door is more often a nuisance than
a benefit due the frequency of opening and closing remotely that
is often required.
