We've been in this business for over 25 years, selling and installing wired and wireless alarm systems for homes and businesses all over the USA and also in Canada. You've heard the facts before and inherently, every intelligent individual already knows that no one gives anything away. Yet, everyday lots of people are having these so called "FREE Alarms" installed and these disreputable companies continue to thrive by ripping people off. This behavior sickens me, so I'm going to tell you exactly how they do it, so that even if you don't buy from me, you will still hopefully shop where you will be treated fairly.

Here is how the Scam is put together, Step by Step and it usually begins with

At first glance, it appears that you are getting something for nothing, which of course we'd all love to do. However, alarm equipment cost every alarm company money to purchase and it cost money to have someone do an installation, so logically there is no way to give it away and stay in business. The cost of the equipment can vary considerably and reputable companies sell good quality, which of course, cost even more.

The non reputable scammers however, sell the bottom of the barrel equipment and they might purchase that stuff for as little as one hundred or so dollars for a complete home alarm system. They do not concern themselves with whether or not the equipment will operate properly, or for how many years, and false alarms become your problem, not theirs. They only care about one thing and that is to collect a monthly fee of $32. to $40. with a three year contract. Service or taking care of you after the contract is signed, quickly moves to a far and distant back burner.

In the event that the system is advertised at $99.00 installed, then that money either pays for the equipment or for the installation but it doesn't take a mathematician to see that they come up short, right out of the gate. Now that may seem good for you at first glance but logic should dictate that these companies are not in business to give anything away and they don't. Obviously, there is a catch and a lot of people fall for the bait.

In reality, these companies make money via mandatory contracts of two or more often, three years, combined with an inflated per month charge that once added up converts to two or three times the amount you would pay had you simply purchased an alarm system and paid a reasonable rate for monitoring. Once you calculate this you will realize that these companies are only out to rip you off and there is no FREE ride.

So How Much is That FREE Alarm System Really Costing You

Let's assess that FREE system:
