Why These Cameras & Not Others

We asked the very same question. When searching, we wanted ease of installation, good picture and ability to record off premises for security purposes. In short, we spent a lot of time investigating the best features, so that you don't have to. Being in the security business for over 25 years, we were also seeking cameras that would serve or assist protection and surveillance, as well as simply relaying general information.

Here's what we found: At first glance, some cameras looked far more impressive. Bullet shaped, with hoods to shade the light and loads of infra-red lights for night use and of course all weather cams for outdoor use. As it happens, our cams can be purchased in all of the configurations for indoor and outdoor use and for a fraction of the price that you would pay for cameras that are labeled high end but which may not do anything more for you than these will.

Ask yourself what you want the camera to do and remember that you can place cams in windows looking outdoors, in which case you can sometimes not be required to have outdoor cams. In our quality test against a bullet cam by a well known competitor, our cams were better in virtually all respects. When sunlight hit the lens of the bullet cam, it just couldn't cope with the light and you couldn't see anything because it was blinded by simple sunlight. The bullet cam did work in total darkness even there the picture was not as clear as ours. Our cams handle light automatically and give nice pictures in daylight and in total darkness. It should of course be understood that the range is limited to about twenty feet of total darkness but that any sources of light or reflection will show up quite brightly.

Another fact that you should know is that IP cams operate differently from cams that are connected to recorders by wire. You will need an AC power source to plug into but the signal is sent wirelessly to your WI-FI from there so that it can viewed live from anywhere or sent as an alert via email. If you don't have and won't be getting WI-FI, these cams aren't for you. However, with WI-FI your movie clip or picture is stored on a central data base, so once an intruder is seen by a cam, he cannot steal or destroy the pictures or movie clip.

There is of course a reasonable annual fee, as we provide a service but when you see this service in operation, there is no denying that this is high tech and now available to the common man. If the cams don't look impressive, not to worry, the pictures and movie clips are superb. I'm telling you this because most people tend to try and judge the quality of the camera by it's outside appearance, whereas the quality really lies in the end result, the picture.
